I love the New Living Translation of the Bible, and the idea of this Bible intrigued me, so I grabbed it to review. It's different to review a Bible than a book - obviously, you're not critiquing the writing, but the type of Bible it is. That said.....
This Bible is geared for people in a 8 or 12-step program, but the notes and other features would be great for anyone who is struggling with some of the issues that people go into these programs for - addictions, abuse, etc.
The notes are solid and helpful, as are the recovery themes, devotionals, and recovery profiles. If a Bible can be called "neat", this is a neat Bible, and everything about it is well-done. Add to that the great and easy-to-read New Living Translation, and you have a great Bible for anyone who may be struggling with some issue - or just someone who wants to understand the Bible better.
The Life Recovery Bible is available from Tyndale Publishers.
Thanks to Tyndale for the review copy.
