Trusting Amid Election Blues

I have to admit, I don't feel much less depressed than I did last night, but what can we do about it. We will just have to pray, a lot, in the next 4 years, and do our duty to call our congressmen when any dangerous legislation comes up for a vote.

A lot can happen in 4 years. We may not even be here at the end of Barrack HUSSEIN Obama's term. It is very possible that it is all in God's plan. Some people feel Israel may launch an attack on Iran before January, so they will be sure of the support of the USA, as it has been said that an Obama administration will not take Israel's part as we always have. I feel one reason we have been so successful as a nation, is because we are Israels' biggest ally, and if that changes, God could let this country go down.

I don't remember who said it - I could look it up, but don't feel like it :-) - that America is great because America is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, it will cease to be great. Hopefully, in the next 4 years, we will somehow remain good, even though the forces of Obama, Biden, Pelosi, Reid, and more may go after the conservatives, starting with the so-called fairness doctrine.

Life must go on, and even though the future looks bleak to me, we have to live for more than election results. A friend of mine from church sent out an email trying to cheer several of us up. She quoted the lyrics to a song I quoted on here back in April, but it bears repeating. Babbie Mason wrote it, and sings it, but I have it on a CD by my favorite group, who I will be seeing in person again a week from Saturday - The Booth Brothers. (Eat your heart out Cindy!)

Trust His Heart

Verse 1
All things work for our good
Though sometimes we don't see how they could
Struggles that break our hearts in two
Sometimes blind us to the truth
our Father knows what's best for us
His ways are not our own
So when your pathway grow dim
And you just don't see Him
Remember, you're never alone

Chorus
God is too wise to be mistaken
God is too good to be unkind
So when you don't understand
When you don't see His plan
When you can't trace His hand
Trust His heart.

He sees the master plan
And He holds our future in His hand
So don't live as those who have no hope
All our hope is found in Him
We see the present clearly
But He sees the first and the last
And like a tapestry
He's weaving you and me
To someday be just like Him

Chorus:
He alone is faithful and true
He alone knows what is best for you

When you don't understand
When you don't see His plan
When you can't trace His hand
Trust His heart
Trust His heart!
