Notable author Lisa Phillips

I have done several of these new and/or notable author posts, and I thought that I had done one on Lisa Phillips already. I was actually surprised that I had not. I did start one back in June, but it got lost in my many drafts. I was actually looking to see if I had a photo merging this first series I talk about, and discovered I had never posted this.

I first ran across this author in 2015 when I bought the first book in her WITSEC Town series. It is a five book series about a fictional town where people living in Witness Protection go to reside. At that point, I think she had just two other books out that I bought - Denver FBI. I loved the WITSEC series, and just re-read them a couple of months ago.

And the author just recently came out with new covers. Often when that happens, I like the old ones better. In this case, I like the new ones better and keep telling myself I do not need to buy them. 😀

The old ones

See what I mean? 😎
If anyone wants to buy me all 5 in the new covers......😀

After reading that series and the FBI Denver books I didn't keep up with her since I wasn't following her on social media, and most of her books are self-published - nothing wrong with that, I just tended to follow authors for a while that published with Christian publishers I was familiar with.  I started catching up on her books in the last few years, and have been enjoying everything she writes. She is another author who weaves some of her series together. A lot of her books take place in a fictional area called Last Chance County. I may miss one, but here are the series that go together, and possibly not in the right order:

WITSEC Town (5 books)

Last Chance County (10 books)

Last Chance Downrange (4 books)

Chevalier Protection Services (5 books)

Last Chance Fire and Rescue

Phllips is an author who puts books out at an amazing speed. She recently had three series going, with one of those ending last month:

1) Brand of Justice. 5 books out so far, #6 releasing next month, and possibly more after that. This series is about an ex-FBI agent who runs her own investigative service. There is only a hint of romance, with an FBI agent who helps her out on her cases. #5 ended with an evil cliffhanger, so I am really looking forward to reading #6. 😎

2) Benson First Responders. A series about first responders. Obviously. :) There are 5 books out, and at least one more coming out, which is due out in January.

3) Last Chance Fire and Rescue. This series is different. There are 4 books in all.  Other than the first book, each is written by a different author with Phillips being involved and having her name on the cover:

#1:Expired Return by Phllips

#2: Expired Hope by Phllips and Megan Besing

#3: Expired Promise by Phllips and Emilie Haney

#4: Expired Vows by Phllips and Laura Conaway

In addition to all of her other books, Lisa also writes for Love Inspired Suspense, and also did a supernatural series under the name JL Terra that was different, but really good.

Phillips is another author that has quickly become a favorite, and is on my must buy list when a new book comes out by her.

Next up from her, as I mentioned above:

Dust and Ashes, Brand of Justice #6: Coming November 7.

And Nightfall, Benson First Responders #6: Coming January 17.
