Christmas Roses by Amanda Cabot

Celia Anderson doesn't have a husband on her Christmas wish list. But when a traveling carpenter finds lodging at her boardinghouse, she admits that she might remarry if she found the right man--the kind of man who would bring her roses for Christmas. It would take a miracle, though, to find roses during a harsh Wyoming winter.
But Christmas, after all, is the time for miracles . . .

My review:
I rarely read a book that is just romance. I can handle if it has suspense/mystery mixed in, or if in this case it is Christmas. I never pass up the chance to review Christmas books.

Amanda Cabot is a new author to me, and this is her first Christmas novel. I don't know what her other books are like, but she has written a great Christmas book, or novella, which is the official name for a book of this length.

Although the book is Christmas romance, it isn't a mushy, gushy type. The author created some great characters and wove a great plot around them. The characters are complex and have complex situations. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the book, and the length made it an easy one to read in one sitting, which is exactly what I did. If I have stars, it would get an easy five. Great book.

About the author:

Amanda Cabot is an accomplished author under various pen names and a popular speaker. The author of Paper Roses, Scattered Petals, Tomorrow's Garden, and Summer of Promise, she is also a charter member of Romance Writers of America, the cofounder of its New Jersey chapter, a member of the ACFW, and an avid traveler. She lives in Wyoming.
