NaBloPoMo Day #24.. Christmas Songs, the Bad & Ugly

I am sure we all have Christmas songs we don't particularly enjoy. Here are some of mine......

1) Ave Maria - I cannot put into words how much I detest this song. My best friend forced me to listen to it once and wouldn't allow me to skip it. I still haven't forgiven him...... ;-)

2) Santa Baby - horrid song. Enough said.

3) Baby It's Cold Outside - I don't care who sings it, and enough people do - I cannot stand it.

4) Same Old Lang Syne -  (by Dan Fogelberg) - a simply stupid and awful song. Gets played way too often.

5) What Child Is This - never really cared for it. I can stand to hear it occasionally, but usually prefer not to

6) Blue Christmas by Elvis - or anything by him. I love Blue Christmas, but his version makes me shudder.

OK, enough for now - filled my blogging duty for the day. Any you would add to the list? :-)

I second your dislike of "Santa Baby." Nuff said.

My least favorite Christmas song would probably have to be "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus." I didn't mind it 'til a view years ago, but when the only version I ever heard of it was by the Jackson 5, I started to get annoyed. They play it ALL THE TIME on the radio in my area, and now, I completely detest the song. I'd much rather hear "I Want a Hippopatomus for Christmas"...equally annoying song, but strangely, more tolerable. :o)

I love Auld Lang Syne;-)

I don't mind Ava Maria. I like Elvis, but I don't care for Blue Christmas. The rest I agree 100% on.

One of my least favorite Christmas songs is "There's a Song in the Air." The words are OK, but the tune has much to be desired.
